Blue Mariposa Press invites submissions from writers living in Far North Queensland.

We are currently seeking:

• Poetry

• Short essays

• Literary non-fiction

• Place-based writing

• Excerpts from longer works in progress

We are particularly interested in beautiful, honest stories that are not yet being told. Writing shaped by FNQ landscapes, communities, and lived realities, whether quiet or confrontational, lyrical or spare.

At this early stage, we are focused on building a shared literary presence rather than volume or polish. Emerging voices are welcome. Established writers are welcome. If you live here and your work is shaped by this place, we want to read it. This is a community platform.
